I installed a new Timney and got to work on a donor SPS stock...Took a lot of plastic out, but she fits.
At least I'll be able to break in the barrel while I wait on my T4A. (After all the work, I felt it was necessary to shoot the 50cal ;))

at least you know who built yours mine remains a mystery. i think it was outsourced. looks great im sure it will shoot as good as it looks

I can guarantee It was not outsourced, I can just about guarantee yours was built by Bill Tompkins. Bill and Ray build 99.9% of the Hospitallers and Bill's rifles get Stamped Post Barreling in the Finish/Bedding room a few times guys have forgot to stamp Bills mark on them. Thats My Theroy anyway if you do want it stamped please send it in anytime. If you just wanted to know who built it I can Confirm in Bill.

On Barreled Action's we do not mark Barreled actions with anything but the caliber. We used to and have been burned by shoty work post us barreling them, and then the rifle is sold and buyers are told its a "GAP Build" We only Mark the rifles that we 100% build from start to finish. Barreling Bedding Finish and Assembly. Guys that are putting them into chassis can always send there stock to us for fitting and then we will put our mark on them.

Thanks

Video of M107A1 - Dude, are you shooting that thing off in your front yard???? (Awesome, if so)...If I did that here in Vegas, every local, county, state and federal law enforcement agency would be taking shots at me...They would probably resort to using artillery as well...

Naw, that was the back yard. ;) Lots of property around us and I was putting the rounds in a big dirt pile. We have a small range next to our gun shop - not a public range - just for quick sight-in and function checks.

Thanks for your post George. I'll be sending my T4A mini-chassis in for fit-test and lug bedding once I get my hands on it. Hopefully that will earn me a badge of honor. ;)

Regardless, thanks for producing some of the best rifles in the country and standing behind them 110% with great customer service.

My turn... :) Me and a Bushmaster BA50 ... and yes this is the backyard as well.

Very nice! What barrel profile and length is that? M24/M40 26"? My build should be done in 3-5 months, it will be CeraKoted in Sniper Grey and I am starting to wonder if I should have my rings CeraKoted to match. I will not refinish my scope though, it will likely be my Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x50 or my Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 FFP. I use them now with Badger "Standard" height and I don't know for certain which height I will need with my #7 GAP contour and Templar V2 built in base.

Do you frequently shoot off the bench with your backside hovering three inches off the chair? Doesn't seem very comfortable or stable. Just curious.

Actually, no I don't. However, I was left with no choice - the bipod was collapsed as far as it would go and the muzzle was still too high in the air for me to put the rounds safely in the berm....So, I had to stand up a bit. Which is also why it rocked me back a good bit. I didn't feel like going prone in 12" of snow. ;)

Bartizzle,

The barrels is a fluted #9 Heavy Target finished at 27" plus the FTE. I spec'd this particular barrel to have 4" of tenon and to finish at .875" at the 27" for the brake. It's a .338 Norma Mag. on a Badger M2008 action.

Colors:

The scope is a standard US Optics olive/gold color with the barreled action being Cerakoted Mil-Spec Green which in real daylight is slightly darker that the scope and less green/gold. The rings are Badger lows but I need to get a set that is lower yet.

I would Cerakote the rings to match the rifle or the scope or both if possible. It looks cohesive then.

Regards.

Your rig looks sweet. Thank you for the details. I am surprised that the rings were already lows, I was assuming it was nearly a 44-50mm but I'm not familiar with USOs product line.
