I know my rig is a dime a dozen on here, but I'm really excited about getting into the precision shooting game. I just made my own cheek rest that I think came out pretty good, and it was really easy too. Cost me $25 to do it myself and serves it's purpose. I've been on the Hide for years learning from you guys and feel as though I've joined a fraternity. I live close to Stiller, so this is a full Stiller custom. Currently working on the right load at the moment and hopefully a suppressor at the end of the year. Just remember, it's the indian and not the arrow.

Spec's:
Stiller short action A/W
Stiller bottom metal
Bartlein Barrel .260 Rem 1/8.5 Twist
AI 10 round mag
Mcmillian A5
Sightron SIII
One happy camper

The scope is 6-24X. I loaded up some varget with 140 Amax's cause that's the only powder I had due to the buying craze and I wanted to break it in. I have some IMR4831 to start doing some real load development. The best load with varget was less than 1/2 MOA. I'll post some targets once I get my load figured out.

Congrats on becoming addicted to an expensive sport. As far as building your own stuff, I like field craft over store if possible. Good job & good luck. Remember FUNDAMENTALS ARE KEY! Fundamentals make a shooter not gadgets

I agree Popeye, i like to tinker too. I would do it all if I had the money to buy more tools. Starting prone and working on my technique is what made me build the cheek rest.
