M&P 10, what ammo have you found that shoots well?

Hi all,

I realize each firearm seems to choose the ammo it likes best.

Firing my new M&P 10 off a sand bag I was unable to get good grouping. Best was in the range of 3-4 in at 100 yd.
Ammo was Remington core-loc 150 gr and Winchester 180 gr. Both are a hunting round.

Optics are a Nikon 4-12.
What are you using that shoots under a MOA?

Thank you !

Guns & Ammo just did a test and posted sub MOA with 168gr Federal Gold Medal Match if I remember correctly.

Black hills 175 seems to work great for most of my semi's

My smith mp10 Shot moa with PMC 147 gr xtac with a vortex PST 1-4x. That's the only shelf stuff I could find in my area. I have a free float rail on mine as well. I have some Sierra 168 gr bthp and hornady 190 grain bthp I am going to load up and blow through my chrony. I am expecting .5-.75" groups with my hand loads. I just got my Daniela's defense dialed in with 77 gr 5.56 loads that with one 4 shot group had a group easily covered with a dime it was .3-.4" depending on how you measure it. It was the best group I have ever Shot with a semi auto rifle. I am new To loading for my AR's. I never got below moa until I loaded my own.

Thanks for the replies. I plan to add a free float rail and low profile gas block of some sort. Probably a Troy and Vltor.
Just picked the rifle up Thursday and wanted to see how it shot. So far it functions well but no where near the accuracy (with my ammo) I expected.

I have taken mine to the range once. Best group I had was three shots ctc spread .392. That was with 168 grain federal gold medal match. I have since added a troy trx and JP trigger spring kit. I shot 3 out of 4 groups sub moa. Rifle should be cleaned well before firing.
