Serbu BFG-50A

Does anyone around here have any experience with this rifle? This is the semi-automatic Serbu .50BMG. Not the tube gun.

What were your thoughts on the build quality and how well did it perform? How did the muzzle blast and recoil compare to the Barrett rifles?

If nobody steps up soon, you might try running a search of the forum as I seem to recall at least one member here within the last year getting one and being pretty pleased with it at the time.

Not sure how much these are costing today. But I would stick with the Barrett they are a great investment. Or go with the Ai for about 30k if you want something different

I don't have one and have never shot one, but there is a thread on here and the guy that did own one really liked it. You will have to search for it. Go to Google and type in Search snipers hide serbu .50. Should pull up. Anyway he was shooting some impressive groups and really seemed to like his rifle. Also try youtube.

I have been unable to locate any threads regarding the BFG-50A.

The only information that seems to be available is for the BFG-50.

There is a thread over on AR15.com that a couple owners chimed in. One of them is Tony Rumore of Tromix and he seemed pleased with it. He received one of the early rifles.

I really like the idea of the gun and would love to shoot one. I do regret selling my 82 but just wasn't shooting it. I wonder how the gas setup works with a suppressor
