Guys,

I decided to start a thread showing some of the work that you guys have allowed me to do. Please feel free to post your own pics of work that I have done for you or your friends. I will bump this up on a regular basis as new pics become available. As always, thanks for checking it out and thanks for your support. It is greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Paul

Paul, You do some gorgeous work man. Congrats on doing something that you love and putting out great product!!

What's your current turnaround time on a 700 bolt, just to be fluted and possibly coated?

TannerGun,

Thanks for the kind words. I do love my job! Running about 2 weeks at the moment on bolt fluting/coating.

Regards,
Paul

Those are truly works of art!!! Between the flute styles and the different knobs. As more of a Curiosity at this point what does the Fluting normally run? Ballpark average if it's not rude to ask on an open forum?

slingshot14,

Bolt fluting generally runs between 85.00 and 95.00, unless it is something truly custom.

Thanks,
Paul

That seems insanely reasonable!!! Looks like a great product, as mentioned above an approximate 2 week turn around time with a solid price seems like you're gonna be a busy busy man.

Do you do skip fluting? About how long would your wait time be for a 18" barrrel and what would an estimated cost be?

Great work by the way.

+1 for Paul. You really do outstanding work. I'll have my build done in a month or so and will show off more of your work :)

Pretty damn cool. Forgive my ignorance, but what function does it serve? Is it just the weight reduction, and how much weight is removed? Are there any other practical uses? Or is it mainly used to elevate the bad-assed-ness of the rifle?

Hopefully any day soon my bolt will be coming back to me. Can't wait to see it!!!

Joseph,

Your bolt shipped yesterday. It came out very nice. Just barely missed the group pic.

Thanks.
Paul

bluto77,

Good question. Generally about 5-6 oz. are taken off the bolt. Not really a reason to do it in my opinion. The bolt will cycle very smoothly due to a much smaller bearing surface. Gives grit and grime a place to go IMHO. The "Bad Ass" factor is just a great side benefit.

Thanks,
Paul

xXlojackXx ,

That would be awesome. I look forward to the pics.

With some communist states writing laws for weight limits on Hunting rifles I could definetly see this becoming more popular! You do incredibly good work.

You do some really nice work. I have two bolts that I will be sending soon!

That is some beautiful work you have done there. Your prices are very reasonable. If I ever have anything that I need done, I will have to look you up.

Awesome work! Is installation included in the bolt knob price? Will def be looking forward to sending my bolt in to you and getting fluted and a new knob put on!

As long as we are talking Remington the pricing is as follows: Any of my bolt knob's "installed" - 95.00. A bolt knob purchased separately - 35.00 shipped.

Thanks,
Paul

Very nice work that's why I sent my bolt to you. Can't wait to see it and put it all back together.

Great job!

Chad

Paul,
Looking great as always, thanks for taking my call and helping me out with my questions. (2) Savage bolt bodies were sent your way today.

A very nice rifle with a coated Vortex bolt and knob. Thanks Ryan.

Surgeon bolt with MicroSlick and FDE on the bolt body. I deepened the flutes a little. One of my favorites to date.

Paul

Thanks Paul, it's been a pleasure letting you do work on my rifle. I get compliments on the fluting every time I take it out to the range. Looking forward to the next build!

Have a good weekend everyone.

Paul

You too, Sir!

Here's my Tikka Sporter bolt, showing more of Paul's fine work (Tac 6 fluting and refinish). I'm itching to get my stock and complete this project (and will surely post more pics when I do), but these will have to do for now. I will also add that Paul's work really has to be seen in person to be believed. It's just outstanding and my pictures couldn't possibly do it justice.

Thanks again, Paul!

John

Dumb question of the day for you, after a reciever has been trued as well as the lugs and raceway should the bolt be much smoother to operate? Also if the bolt was cerakoted would that make it let 'smooth'?

I don't think you would notice any difference by truing the action. IMHO. Cerakote may cause a little more drag until it laps in.
