Combat k9 load earring apac vest

There was another one the made that you can rappel with your dog etc. I don't know if they make it anymore. I couldn't find one. Dstactical had them but are out

Would love to find one small enough for my Tactical Attack Pug.

Think he's due for a pistol rig.

I know you didn't mention it, and it wasn't the question, but what is your main purpose for that type of rig and what are your operating environments?

. Is just for my pooch while out hunting and climbing so she can carry some extra gear etc. I mainly want one with molle but saw that combat k9 had one that will allow you to rap and lower your dog. They only make the 1version now. Fight and Flight Tactical || Durable Gear for the Tip of the Spear || Home make some cool ones also that I'm looking if anyone wante to know. These ones are just the molle vest though

I was just wondering because that is a lot of money to spend on something for an animal that really can't pack any weight at all. Not to mention there is really no true use for half of the things you'll find sewn onto the item. You'd be surprised at how quick just a few pounds can wear out a dog. Not to mention the heat most of these "Tac vests" retain. Anyone that TRULY has a use for these high speed rappelling fancy harnesses are using them for 10% of their job... I'm not trying to tell you how to spend your money, but for to just have it, you'd be much better off just using a standard patrol harness that doesn't effect the dog, and that you can still quickly grab and clip a leash or whatever to. And you could clip very lightweight items to it. Like this: Patrol Dog Harness: Prodogz.com

I was given a $600 full combat harness, a Ray Allen patrol harness, doggles, booties, fancy water rigs, a K-9 tent, and other random crap... What did I end up using in both 10* and 110* weather? My standard Ray Allen leather collar, my choke, patrol harness packed in my daysack just in case, my 30' retractable leash, and a collapsible water bowl...

My point is that there is no point for 90% of the shit out there made for K-9's. It's all very specialized for specialized purposes, made for a creature that operates better without it in almost all cases.

To each his own though, and if it works for you for whatever reason, then so be it. I just don't see spending the money on those unless you have to.

JB5812,
Despite my avatar I hate cats. I've only worked with and trained dogs in an avalanche search setting, but you've clearly had some other experiences with them. Thanks for that. Send my thanks on to all the 4 legged marines that you can.
