I've been using the BC caps. So far, in the last 3 matches I've busted at least one, if not both. It's getting old.

Unless someone has a better recommendation for flip covers, I'm seriously considering bikini style covers. Are NightForce the only option? I saw BC also makes a bikini cover, but it is one size fits all. I'm not sure how well that will work anyway?

I'm looking to put them on 3 scopes-
Vortex Razor 5-20
Vortex PST 4-16
SWFA SS 5-20

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I have busted two of them too. Went back to scrounging in the parts bin and pulled out the bikini covers and will use them until someone comes up with something better.

Neoprene is another option. I gave up on BC caps....... They suck. Even their new living hinge design which they rolled out a few months back are coming back with reports of breaking in cooler temps. Bushnell can pack sand with their BC caps! I've coverted over to Scopecoat - Scopecoat.com and scopeshield Alaska covers - ScopeShield Neoprene Scope Covers. Maybe not quite as convenient, but I haven't broken one and they protect and cover.

Hmm... I might have to try one of those scopeshields. That looks like a pretty nice solution.

Ironically, I thought I'd rip the covers apart going in/out of the scabboard of my pack. Never had an issue there. Always get destroyed moving around barricades and stuff like that.

I was told about the scope coats and now I love mine! It is a bonus to have the whole scope protected when it's on. The bikini covers would always touch the eye piece lens and make a smudge. Couldn't be happier with the scope coat!

It's amazing how a company can take a perfectly good product and screw it up. The Butler Creeks I bought 20 years ago still work. The ones from the last few years are junk. I think the best solution would be if the scope manufacturers would standardize threads on the eyepieces and objectives so something like the Leupold Alumina covers would work.
