Gunsmithing Defiance Deviant action - what stock inlet??

You need to consider the options that defiance offers including straight or swept handle and port length for example. We get short and long deviants as a direct drop in for a Remington inlet (except for the side bolt release for composite stocks). Deviants cannot have side bolt release set above the stock line because of the facets on the top half of the action. I'm sure McM will do a "Deviant" inlet, but they would have a few questions on the specs of the action. I would stick with the R700 inlet if the handle is swept back, but I have used surgeon inlets as well with a little modification

I have a deviant on order right now and in the ordering process you can have them modify the port length and handle so that it is basically a drop in fit to an R700 inlet with out losing any of the key features of the Deviant. That being said I know manners will do a deviant inlet if u just ask for it in the additional notes on their stock builder. This was the route I was going to go but then opted to go for the unmodified Deviant and am putting it in an XLR Carbon Chassis.
