Hell
So i have the honor of calling Mike Bush from Black Ops a friend and he made the trip out to see me before I deploy, bringing with him some toys. Figured i would post up since nobody has really done a review of his new 1911 and/or posted about his Ranch rifle especially in this configuration.

the 1911:

Commander size railed 45
Kart barrel
chen magwell
Tool steel parts everywhere
Caspian slide and frame

We blew through about 600 rounds of 45 today a good portion of was spent on his new 1911

this one was Mike's personal gun he JUST finished. First impression is its a VERY VERY nice gun, the detail work is amazing as with anything that leaves Mike's shop. The fit of beavertail, magwell, was perfect. The serrations on top of slide were super clean. Overall its as nice as anything i've shot. Mike is bluing his guns and so any finish issues you see in these pics is all oil or finger prints on the bluing cuz the gun was finished really well. Gun shot extremely well (well when i shot it ;) a small jab at Mike). We (I) was hitting a 4" hostage target at 25 yards with relative ease which is pretty damn impressive with a commander size gun offhand with no rest.

yeah did a few reloads too

Overall I was very impressed, I think this configuration in 9mm would be amazing which is what i'll most likely end up ordering when i get some cash together, lol.

Highly recommend Black ops if you are in the market for a high end custom, They are putting out some extremely nice stuff.

Talked with Mike this evening and he said you guys had a great time. Said the 6 CM demands some attention. Told me that should be my next rifle.

I understand the need to get some cash together.

The 1911s look great!

well, that is where the 45 went...I am really looking forward to seeing my 45 when it gets done and BigJoe29, a 9mm, oh no, I expect a big 45 from you.

Shootin a "9" out of one of Mr. Bush's Commanders would sound like a sub gun goin off!

I think you are a Blackops junky and Mike Bush is the dealer - HAHAHAHAHA...what am I talking about, I have him on my speed dial.

I've not spent this much time shooting a pistol in a looooong time....incredible time on the range and nice to do so with such a good friend. I clearly should divide more time between the rifles and pistols.

And BTW Joe, how many shots to hit the 3" swinger at 500 with the rifle?

I think I need to get my paws on a recon commander! Gonna have to give them a call tomorrow!

/low whistle

Now that you guys scratched up the magwell with the reloads and got soot all over the nose of that beautiful pistol it's going to have to be sent over here so I can clean it up properly for ya... Mike, you have my address, I'll just need it for 2-3 wee, um, years.. yeah... years to get it properly cleaned up and gone over.

BlackOps are like crack to a gun addict, they're making some really great stuff that will shoot better than they look!

Joe, stay safe, thank you for your Service. God Bless.
