Rem 700 bolt damage?

I recently did a ladder test on my new Rem 700 XCR Tactical Long Range chambered in 338 Lapua. I did a ladder test from 88.0 grains in half grain increments to 91 Grains. At 91 grains I had a little bit of a hard bolt lift but other than that no signs of over pressure. After removing the bolt to clean it I found what appears to be damage behind the bolt face but it could also just be a shitty casting job. I didn't really examine it before shooting like I wish I would have now, but If anyone could offer some advice I would appreciate it.

The slit in the side of the bolt lug is designed to ride on a rail in your receiver. The bell mouth at the beginning of the slit is designed to be there. If this is what you are concerned with it's not broken.

Im not concerned specifically with the bell. Its the jagged edges inside of it. I have found a couple very small metal shavings so far while cleaning it and was concerned that maybe part of the bell broke off. But if you looked at it and it doesn't raise any alarms then I can just attribute it to a bad machining job. Thank you for having a look.

I don't mean to ask a stupid question but this is now the 2nd time I've seen a bolt that has an opening up in the anti bind rail. What does opening up the slit do over not opening it up?

The same thing flared out/funneled magazine wells do when you do a speed reload. If it was all straight and tight, the slightest bit of rotation while pulling the bolt back would cause the bolt to get stuck.
