What do you prefer for your front and rear sight of the 1911?

I have a SIG 1911 and am loving it so far! It cam with Novak 3 dot night sights and I am underwhelmed. I have recently went to Tritium Fiber Optic sights on my P229 which I use for competition and I have been evolving from night sights to fiber optic sights on all my pistols.
My solution was to pick up a Novak fiber front and black rear sight. Not good for night use but I figure it will decrease my time in competition.

Heine sights for simplicity and quick target acquisition.
For a carry or idpa gun the hienie 10-8

10-8 wide rear and heinie tritium front is a great setup.
Also works well with a fiber optic front site, I have one made by Mitchell Custom on my USPSA gun and love the combo.

Harrison or 10-8, i like some of the heinie as well.
for target shooting I like the Bo-Mar style rear- white outline U with a dot up front. For Combat pistol...no sights.

I was just looking for a dual purpose target and hunting sight system. I thought I had decided on the Novak white dot with tritium inserts but Alchemy suggested the fiber optic. I might look at a 10-8 rear and a fiber optic front. My M&P pro has a green fiber optic and I haven't decided if I like it or not. It is almost distracting in bright sunlight.
Range gun gets Novak low mount plain rear with gold dot front, carry gun has Novak low mount rear with tritium bar and night sight front.
10-8 rear and Novak gold bead front. Old-school feel that's still quick to acquire sight picture.
This is my answer as well. I always use Heinie.

Heine...over 50 front and rear.....for the mature generation!
Any of the 10-8 sights are good, Heine as well. I use both, as well as the Heirloom Precision "retro" sight, which is rather simple. Tritium is getting phased out on my pistols and the gold bead is the way to go for me.

Get a set of XS Big Dots. You won't regret it. They are an excellent sight that is actually easy to use. Just put the golf ball on the tee and squeeze the trigger. These sights are made for very fast target acquisition and they work wonderfully.
You did not mention "carry / self defense". If it is a target / hunting pistol, a good "old school bullseye" setup using a Bomar adjustable rear and blade on front is optimal. If in fact this will be also be used for carry, the 10-8 rear with either the gold bead or XS with insert for front.

Thanks for the replies. I will most likely go with a 10-8 rear with a fiber optic front. It will probably be a while though because I just can't seem to part with my new Baer. It just shoots so good. I don't know, I may just leave it like it is.
This may be a bit different, but saw it on an instructors gun and really liked it some years ago at a ccw course. I bought some Testors paint (for model cars, etc). I painted the front sight blaze orange and painted a vertical bright green block on the rear sight, but only as wide as the front sight, below the rear sight notch. My eyes can pick this up very quickly.
