wow I know what you mean by this because we wouldn't be that interested in what Nikon is putting out but its hard to believe that $1000-2500 is considered low end! I guess someday I'll get one of those money trees that you all have!

It's interesting. Does it perform well at 1x on close targets? Reticle visible in bright sun? If yes, may be a winner.

$2,270 MSRP, I believe they'll sell well. How to do it? Get a few of their dealers to post long reviews on how they are the greatest scope ever used, get a few reviewers to say the same. How: buy some ads. Have dealers announce, "We finally got a few more on the way, everyone we had from our first shipment was sold in 24hours, order now so you're not disappointed etc. Before long, a group of "I really wanted the best stuff" guys will start buying, and then the $2,270 MSRP won't seem out of line.
