I'm using the side focus on my scope and I can seem to get it adjusted to eliminate parallax. I am able to set it so that when I check by nodding my head, the reticle doesn't move in relation to the target, but if I check going side to side, there's about a 1 mil shift. Any ideas?

i was taught that you have to be actually off the gun to check parallax. in other words back up and come at the gun from the side and make sure gun is stable.

Good point... I just checked it on a rest without any contact and I have no issues. I guess I was moving it around with my head. I guess this leads to another question: how do you check parallax when there's no rest available?

Or you can send your scope and let me check for a lock paralex problem ill ship it back after a week or 2.:)
You need to be off the rifle/bench check paralex with zero contact with rifle.if no rest avail lay your rifle where it can be steady where you can get acess to peek on scope without touchin it.

Sometimes the adjustment can be very sensitive. Try bracketing. In other words, set the parallax where you think it should be, and check for movement of the crosshairs on the traget, and at things just ahead of and just behind the target. Choose which shows the least crosshair movement, and try checking it on something further in that direction (farther out, or closer) without changing the parallax setting. You should be able to find a point where parallax is eliminated. Once known, you will know which way to turn the knob to get you closer to your target's range. You can't always trust the markings on the turret.

Edit: Oops, now I see that all is O.K. Good on 'ya. I'll leave the post for reference though.
