Is there any market for 3x fired Lapua 260?

I originally bought 200 pieces of Lapua brass for my 260 Rem. I am now wishing that I had more brass but don't want to mix batches of brass. I am thinking about selling the 3x fired cases that have only been neck sized and chamfered with a VLD chamfer. Does anyone know a fair asking price, or if they are even worth it for anyone? They will have been annealed on a Benchsource once.

I'm sure it will sell. Provide some photos, maybe explain if ran hot load, etc.. New brass goes for $1.00 each, so just price what you think is fair. I can't wait for my 260 barrel to show up, maybe in a few weeks.

I'm sure if the price is right (Like .25 cents a case), somebody will buy it.

But if you have time for one question, and please do not get offended: Why on earth would you re-anneal Lapua brass that comes well annealed when new, and you only fired it 3x?? Lapua says this about their brass: "The neck and shoulder are annealed to withstand repeated reloading."

Maybe I'm missing some sound rational how re-annealing this bass, so early in it's load cycle, improves it's performance or service life, so please educate me.

No offense taken at all Bob :)

A lot of bench shooters anneal after every firing. It is supposed to provide more consistent neck tension.

Yea, many bench resters would eat their own boogers if they could get 0.05" tighter group. But I hear you, and understand...

Thanks

I would buy it since I got my 260 yesterday and need brass, but wonder was the length of the brass?

This wasn't Intended to be a for sale thread, however somebody already purchased the brass. I have 197 pieces and they sold for $75 shipped. The length of the brass was still under trim length after the three firings. I only neck sized the brass. I'm sure that helped a bit. I'm still awaiting payment but I will let you know if something doesn't work out.

Oh, forgot to mention LRN, Powder Valley has 260 Lapua brass at $96 or so. That's as cheap as I've ever found it. The down side is that they are still behind on shipping until the beginning of June.

You can load Lapua brass up to 10 or more times if not loaded hot. So by all reasoning your brass was fairly new. I have 200 .260 Lapua brass in circulation and 400 R-P. The 3x Lapua is more consistent than the new R-P!!!!
