Deep in the woods
Hello, first of all I would like to thank the wonderful vendors of this forum for helping me put this rifle together. The rifle is a AI AX 308 that I bought from eurooptic back in January. They were very easy to work with, and answered all my questions promptly and without pressure or hassle. I originally ordered this rifle with a 24" barrel and I wanted the 20" model but I was persuaded to go ahead and get the barrel shortened and a class 3 brake installed buy a qualified gunsmith. After receiving the gun, I took the gun to Brian Ott in Douglasville, GA to get the barrel cut off and the 30ba brake put on. It took over 2 months to get this done due to a special tool that Brian had to rent from AI to get the barrel off. Brian is a great guy to deal with and I whole heartedly recommend his services to anyone (barring no baffle strikes once the suppressor gets in) I had the barrel shortened to 21" and the brake put on. I ordered the scope from Jay at Sport Optics and he was also super to deal with. I ended up getting the case and a few of the accessories from Mile High Shooting and they were also great to deal with. I took a picture of the gun the Storm Case for people to look at so you can get an idea what to expect. No range report yet and it may be a few weeks until I get out to the range but I am sure it will shoot much much better than I am capable of. :) The only thing I am waiting on now is my 338ba suppressor from Thunderbeast. That should be here in June.

Sweet Rig. I've been eyeballing those stocks. I have a 5R that could be happy in that stock.

Thanks papasniper and API Norway!!! The stock feels great so far. I know some people don't like the pistol grip stock but coming from a DTA it feels very similar.
