Cincinnati, Ohio
Hello. I was just wandering if there was anyone around Cincinnati on here that would like to meet up and shoot sometime.

Re: Anyone around Cincinnati, OH

Its 1 1/2 hours for me but I've driven further. What do you have in mind?

Re: Anyone around Cincinnati, OH

Looking for some long distance land, someone to give me some pointers and tips, and also just looking for some people to shoot with.

Re: Anyone around Cincinnati, OH

I am up for it. I live around Wilmington. I own some land we can shoot on. I cant help you with the pointers but I am always up for shooting.

Breeze260 where are you from. I was at TVP tuesday really nice place.

Re: Anyone around Cincinnati, OH

I'd be interested in shooting with you. I'm on the South end of Dayton. Did you have a place in mind to shoot. FWIW, Miami Rifle and Pistol in Batavia has a 600 yard range.

I would be up for that after the first of the year. Batavia is not far from me. I also just made some steel plates for my range.

Re: Anyone around Cincinnati, OH

I know it's not in your backyard but if you ever want to travel up towards Zanesville we go to Rayners quite often. His property is open pretty much anytime for shooting out to 1000 yards.

Don't have any fancy training but we do manage to hit a few targets now and then with a wide assortment of guns at the farther distances and will share the lil bit we've learned.

Second video under my name shows some shooting by folks at one of the matches this summer and here is a link to the targets at Rayners we shoot in a normal match. Shows what they look like from the bench and then zooming in to see hits and what they look like and size.

If weather is decent a small group of us go out whenever anyone wishes to get together. Price at Rayners is $10.00 for the day of practice.

Re: Anyone around Cincinnati, OH

What Part of Cincy, I am east off of 275 and get together with some farm buddies of mine when the fields aren't completely soaked but we are limited to about 300 yards... but we do shoot trap and handguns pretty often...

Re: Anyone around Cincinnati, OH

Just moved back to the Cinci area. On the waiting list for MRPC. Would be interested in connecting with other Hide members in the area to shoot.

Re: Anyone around Cincinnati, OH

After the first of the year when it warms up a little I'm game. I shot with wdebo from up near Wilmington, he's set up for anything really up to about 600 yards. Also there is a new range right outside of Hamilton called lake Bailee its a little rough bc it's still under construction but it goes out to about 300 yards and he is open to the public. Pm me if ur interested.

Re: Anyone around Cincinnati, OH

I'd be in for shooting with anyone up for it... I'm up in centerville but if my schedule works out I don't mind coming down towards cincy.

I've been doing most of my shooting down at Middletown sportsmens club. But it only goes out to 220 yards or so... I'm on the wait list for mrpc as well.. Would love to find a place to get out 600 yards and beyond without driving up to zanesville or tvp if possible..

Lake Bailee isn't much further than Middletown.. If anyone is heading down that ways send me a pm I'd love meet up with some other hide members...

Pm me sometime I have a range we can do around 700.

Re: Anyone around Cincinnati, OH

Let me know if you guys decide to go out. I'm a MRPC member but would rather go to a longer range. The 600yd range you have to get qualified for now so the max you can shoot is 400-500 now w/o the qualification and designated times. I would like to do a trip to Rayners(Zanesville), Thunder Valley(Zanesville) or Rockcastle (Lexington).

Anyone up to do some shooting this weekend? Sat and Sunday looks like weather won't be too shabby...

I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Matt and live in Beavercreek. It's a bit North of Cincinatti, but it's getting nice out and I've been shooting every weekend.

If anyone wants to trade contact info, shoot me a PM.

I'm hoping to make it out to Rayner's at least a couple times this Summer, but I'm looking for something a bit closer for regular trips.

Anyone been shooting lately. I'm looking for a place still and am still on the MRPC waiting list but would really like to connect with some guys in the area to get out routinely.

Next Thursday August 8th a couple fellas and I plan on shooting just not sure where yet.
If anyone is willing to let us come out and shoot some steel we'd be greatful. Looking at 300-1000 yards or anywhere inbetween.

Pm me if you're interested.

Thanks!

I moved to central KY almost 2 years ago and am still looking for that great long range place to use; you know - 500 yds or more, easy access, and a friendly owner who also likes to shoot.

Just moved to Ohio down in southeast corner close to Wheeling. Anything around here?

rayners range in blue rock, oh. not terribly far from you. fantastic people and fantastic range. monthly matches and two sniper comps per year.

thunder valley precision in coshocton, oh again not terribly far. great range with matches and shoots about every weekend. head hunter, intimidator, night shoot, short coarse, sniper comp. targets out to 1 mile.

There are a few of us here around St. Clairsville that go out to Rayners quite often for practice sessions and also the monthly matches. Get in touch and we'd be glad to have you join us. First match is Feb 22/23 but not sure we're going with the weather outlook. Plan on spending some time as the weather breaks to test out a few new things and get in some range time.

Watch those guys that shoot at Rayners, they will try to convince you to cut the buttstock off your rifle and turn into a pistol!

Hats off to both TVP and Rayners, hard to find better places to shoot, just wish I did not have to drive 4+ hours to get there.

Somewhat in your area 1-3 hours:
Louisville Shooting Range KY | Sheperdsville Guns For Sale, Handguns Safety, Pistols Ammo, Firearms, Conceal & Carry Classes - Knob Creek Gun Range
On the SW side of Louisville, range goes to 300 for paper, and you can shoot at "stuff on the hill" out to about 400 yards.

Southern Indiana Rifle and Pistol Club
Just across the river from Louisville in Borden IN, range goes to 500 yards.

If you are willing to travel to the "Ville Area" give me a yell.

I know there is a pretty regular bunch of shooters from N KY that travel and shoot at various locations, hopefully you can hook up with them?

In Frankfort, and have a pistol and .22 with more than enough ammo to warm up the barrel. Down for shooting, but new to the area, so don't have any place to shoot. Willing to head up to Cinci any Saturday. Let me know by Friday night and if I'm free I'll be there.
