You know the nylon scope covers, the ones that often include a muzzle protector that connects via a strap? I can find tons of different brands and models, but everything tops out at 18" in length. I'm trying to protect an IOR 3-18x50 with a sun shade, and its a gargantuan beast, almost 20" long (35mm tube and enormous elevation knob).

Anyone know of a model that would fit this scope?

If I can offer an alternative, look at a neoprene cover from Scopecoat.com. They come in all sizes and colors and they make custom pieces as well. I have one on my Trijicon Accupoint 5-20x50 and it provides great protection. It isn't long enough to go over the scope with the sunshade, but I can always get one custom made if I want. Good luck--

The one from Triad/Steve is the longest scope cover of the sort you are talking about that I'm aware of and it is just under 19" in OAL.

If I may make a simple suggestion...just pull then @#$% sunshade off of the scope before you stowe it away. Certainly, there is a convenient place somewhere in your gear bag/drag bag/range bag/etc. for a sunshade to hang out when not installed on the scope. Aside from that...you can always go to Nick Painter @ Grand River Tactical or one of the other custom gear mfgs here on the Hide and see if they can offer you a custom/one-off solution that will work better for you and allow you to keep your optic fully assembled with the sunshade.

Any more ideas for this? I tried ordering the Voodoo Tactical covers from a few places (that show in stock) but they are all backordered, and the MFG no longer lists that model on their site.

Still looking for a good scope/muzzle protection combo, for a 18" long SN3, and 19" long IOR, and future scopes.

Try eberlestock. I have two of them and they are real nice. I had one on a SN3 3.2-17 and it would cover it just fine.
