Gunsmithing Remington 700 action question

I have a .270 Win Sendero Special that will not shoot any respectable group no matter what load work up or shooter. I bought it used in 1996. I would like to turn it into a 300 RUM or 300 Win Mag. Is that even possible with a barrel and bolt face swap? What do I need to do? Thanks for the input, I'm new.

In short, the Bolt face can be opened up, and install a new barrel. I prefer the 300 Win Mag over the ultra, unless you Ned the extra speed. I would also use a PTG bolt instead of modifying the factory bolt.

If your going to change the factory bolt face upgrade the extractor at the same time to a Sako or Mini 16. Karl at Kampfeld customs is the man I would talk to.

Agreed and you can order the bolt from PTG with a mini 16 extractor.

That would be a slick set up with the PTG bolt with the mini 16 extractor!
