Well I live in Oregun....
Started hunting andshoot some time ago. Then started to bow hunt and that took me away from shooting for quite a few years. Just start back into shooting last year and started with the 22-250 for paper and sage rats... Wow that is a kick. Pulled out the 7mm rum and know I'm looking at shooting some distance at paper or steel.
Started with trigger job and muzzle break. Looking at bedding the action in the next few weeks. Have a Mueller Optics scope for now. Hearing that I will trash the barrel in under 500 rounds so starting to think about another caliber to go with the new barrel.

Great site so far...

Welcome to the Hide!

For just getting into long range, maybe a .308 Win or a 6.5 Creedmoor would get you started and save your 7mm Rum barrel. Once you get hooked, and you will, the sky is the limit.

welcome to the hide brother.i agree w/thrusty, except.you might want to look at the 260 rem and the 6.5x47 lapua also.just pick one and have at it!!!!.........dave
