Have wind runners in 50bmg an 408ct and an HTI being delivered today. I am going back and forth between the atacr and a vortex razor. After it is all said and done the razor will be about 500 bucks cheaper. Any input as far as pros and cons of each would be appreciated.
Thanks

If you're running wind runners then money should be no object!
All kidding aside, the basic consensus is that razor glass is better than nxs glass but the ATACR ED glass is better than razor glass. The less uncommon 34mm tube on the ATACR is a plus as well.
For glass alone I went with the ATACR (on order). But if you have a problem with sfp then the ATACR is not for you.

Went through a school with my Razor and beat the crap out of it. Sling swivel broke while I was ropeing down a steep slope and rifle landed on the scope. Never lost zero either. On night shoot I was impressed with the glass. I didn't think the S& B was better at all.

I honestly think I will get one of each and see which one I like better, then get another of the one I like the most. Just sold 4 of the older nxs. I liked them and never had issues just needed to upgrade to high speed turrets and zero stops. Just got lucky the introduced the atacr right when I was ready

I run the razors on a few large 338's for a few years. Very happy with the performance. They have been beat up on a few hunts. Only trouble I've had is the screws that hold the zero stop backed out.

I really like to ebr-2b reticle with the open middle.

Buckskin I have a HTI in 50bmg and a 375CT conversion on the way. I am going back and forth between rather I need the FFP scope, NF beast etc or go with an atacr? I have an atacr on another rifle and really like it. I don't see myself shooting the 50 or 375CT very close so I don't necessarily need FFP but still not sure.
WHat did you decide?

I ended up with one atacr for the Edm 50 and just got a smokin deal on a lightly used premier 5-25 that will go on the HTI. The 408 will have to go without for a little bit. Waiting on mounts to check everything out.

I am not sure how much internal elevation is in the Razor, but if you are like me having the 120+ MOA of elevation in the ATCAR would be a welcome relief from the holding over that I do currently in the desert.

My Razor tracks at 99.5% and with a 100-yard zero I have 24.4 mils of elevation. That will take me way beyond trans-sonic. 20-mil base.
