Laser RF for Prairie Rats?

Has anyone successfully ranged prairie rats or their mounds during daylight? If so, what are you using and what is the maximum distance you can consistently range? I have one of those vintage fine Swiss artillery rangefinders, but it's a bit bulky.

Vectronix Terrapin does well but way above most people's budget. I can hit mounds out to 1200 with ease.

I have a plrf10 with a Swarovski doubler on it and ranged antelope at 2300 yards and could do it over and over. This was south of Gillette. I have a Vector IV coming and will be here tomorrow so the plrf10 will have to go up for sale. Depending on

I used a Swaro for years and could get mounds out to 1000 yd. easy.
