Magpul ACS shifting under recoil

After about 700 rounds, my Magpul ACS is now acting up. Under recoil, the stock is shifting back and forth a small amount. I would estimate 1/10 of an inch. It doesn't sound like much, but it actually is driving me nuts.*

I called Magpul and the tech told me forward and rear movement is normal, even with a friction lock. I'd like to disagree. In any case, I would like to find a fix for it. He suggested that perhaps the extension tube interface holes were large. That can't be true, because the stock didn't do it for the first 100 or so rounds on this rifle. He then suggested that perhaps the holes elongated, being aluminum with a steel pin on the stock. I find that hard to believe as well- the stock was on an MWS for the first 528 rounds I had it. No issues there. The stock was on the KAC (brand new rifle with brand new extension tube) for 100 or so rounds before things loosened up, but the looseness is the same on all the extension positions, which suggests that the one position I was shooting in couldn't have loosened up under recoil. Any advice other than just buying a new stock? I will, if need be. I was hoping Magpul would warrantee it, but that seems unlikely if the tech is claiming it is normal.

It wouldn't be so bad but the stock "clicks" when it shifts.

Doesn't sound normal to me. I would call back and hope for a different person to answer. Or post in the Magpul forum on one of the AR boards.

A local dealer has an ACS-L, I'll just go buy it

If you have an AR15.com user name I'd post it in the Magpul industry section. They seem to take care of the ARF guys fairly quickly.
