Rifle Scopes iPhone as a rifle scope, the "inteliscope"

If it was mounted to the side, could calculate ballistics, humidity and wind as a supplement it would be cool. Otherwise this is only good to make YouTube videos.

I'd consider putting one on my 22 for the fun factor. As far as centerfire, I think the recoil would trash the phone sooner or later.

iphone has good digital resolution, but the optical resolution from the camera sucks.

A video screen could be useful in certain circumstances. Those who get eye strain easily, have other vision problems maybe. Not to mention if one has an issue with getting a proper cheek weld for whatever reason.

I have noticed when putting a camera or iphone behind the scope it really promotes bad form

Rarely if ever are the scopes set up so the user is correct behind the rifle to properly fire it using the proper fundamentals.

For one shot or to record a single round for later, sure, but as an aid to shooting, not so much

I was thinking more along the lines of someone with a disability, rather than as a training aid.

If I had an iphone I would rather mount it on the end of the barrel in the path of the bullet.

Great. I look forward to the day when I can look to my right and see a shooter split screening to play Angry Birds or watch porn while shooting.
