.300 Win Mag- 26" Bartlein 5r barrel

About to get a new build back and was looking at loads. Need to order bullets an have been considering the 208 amax and 210 berger vld's. I'm open to anything as this will be my first long ranger.

What you guys got for bullet and powder suggestions? Also, where can I find se new brass?

Well actually it isn't done. I'm having Chad Dixon build it as part of the group buy going on. Should be up in a couple of weeks to send everything too him. I was trying to figure out what bullets I wanted to use and decide whether I wanted it throated specifically for that bullet.

I have been thinking the 208 amax's but recently have been reading about some uniformity issues with them. Making me think I may go with something else. Wanted to get some opinions on here before I proceed.

I run the 208 AMAX and H1000 and never had any uniformity issues. Shot them at last years Snipers Hide Cup and they were good enough for 6th place out of almost 90 shooters.

Also had to add good choice on the barrel. Same one I use on my 300WM.

I've always had uniformity problems with Hornady bullets. But they are (on avg.) about $10 cheaper a box than Bergers. On that note; I've shot some of my best groups ever with 210 bergers out of my 300 wsm. Also with the 210's and your 300wm you'll most likely run into mag issues. They are a fairly long bullet.
