Anyone know if theyre still around? I tried calling a few times and it goes straight to busy signal. Ive emailed a few times to no avail.

Anyone know how to get in touch with them?

I've used many of Gary's barrels. They all have been good shooters. He is a good guy and I would recommend his barrels to anyone. The number above is correct, 928.474.2852. For current pricing you should call them direct.

I love my Schneider barrel. Reasonably priced compared to everyone else when I bought it a couple years back. Went with a M40 contour in .308. It's a heavy beast, but it's lights out!

The last Schneider I bought was 320.00 plus shipping. It was ordered direct and I got it in 8 weeks last summer. The first 3 shot group was in the .3's with a #5 sporter in 7-300wm. I've owned 10-12 Schneider barrels and all would shoot well under 1/2".

I spoke with him a few weeks ago. He is busy and it is a small shop. $320 and get in line. Be prepared to know what you need and want. This includes what your preferred weight of the round and caliber.

Thanks guys....got ahold of Gary today. I had been trying for awhile but phone went straight to busy....might have been my cell network.

Anyways, I've got a 6.5 barrel coming from him and I needed to change shipping address. All is well now......he's been a very pleasant and helpful guy whenever I've spoken with him.

Looking forward to seeing how it shoots.

Ordered a barrel from him a month ago.
Spoke to Gary himself, he helped me decide on the barrel. Very helpful and a damn nice guy.
Spoke to Steve about 2 weeks later, only to make sure they received my check.
Should be another 5 to 6 weeks.

I'll be rebarelling my Remy soon, and I'm considering Brux, obermeyer, Krieger, and Schneider. I doubt a fella could go wrong with either of those.

Does he offer his polygon rifling barrels for rem 700s and is it worth looking at? I know theyre geared more to the AR crowd..

Yes he does..... That's what I ordered from him. He will even do custom contours within the same delivery time. I ordered a 6.5 barrel from him contoured for a DTA.

My smith swears by him.

I have a Schneider P5 on my 300 win mag. I have been very happy with it. Cleans up very easy. My next barrel will be another Schneider.

I was thinking the 5P would be stupid easy to clean & probably a little easier on the bullet jacket for those hyper velocity cartridges & thin jacketed bullets (i.e. Berger H-VLD's etc).

If anyone cares to save me a phone call, could you tell me what Schneider barrels cost?( ballpark )

Enough to pay for the hangar he keeps his airplane in.;):D

Seriously, I've usually seen them for sale in standard configuration as a blank for about $335.

Fair enough. It seems like every barrel I've priced has been within $30 dollars of the competition. Not much variance in price among premium bbl manufacturers.

I have a Schneider barrel on my 6x47 lapua and the first 50 rounds have shown 1/4 groups at 100 yards are no problem. Very happy with barrel and will be ordering one.

I imported an M-40 contour 0.308 Win barrel with his help and it shoots great he helped me pick up the best barrel for my needs and with the export, when I'll need another barrel I will go with Schneider barrels any time

For those who have used Gary's barrel in .300 win mag, what stock are you using. I'm in the process of a build and need to solicite ideas.

The stock is a personal choice.
I run an XLR chassis on my .308.
First, you'll need to decide on your budget.
The custom stocks can be ordered with an inlet designed around the barrel contour.
Good budget stocks are the B&C and HS Precision.
McMillan and Manners are beautiful stocks available in a variety of configurations, but are a bit spendy.
