Fed 223 brass

I am sure this has been beat to death at some time or another, my computer skills are not good.
What is wrong with using once fired cheap Federal brass to reload for a bolt rifle.
It doesn't have to be spot on, minute of prairie dog is what I am after and don't give a damn if I lost one as if it were Lapua.
If you can, please tell me where to look on site as to the other discussions. Thanks, FM

I got a couple thousand Federal cases. People tell me they are soft, but when running them through a ful length resizer, using conservative load data and shooting out of an AR platform where you are going to lose some anyway, I never really had any issues.

I have once fired FGMM and the crimped primer gave me a fit. I used the Lyman hand tool for dressing the primer pocket. A reamer. Not good. Still cant get er done.

I have used Fed 223 brass with good results. I would load it up and shoot.

SporterII, RCBS has a Swager for primer pockets that will help with the crimp.

0.6" vertical spread at 200yrds (.3 MoA) out of my wife's savage .223 22" bolt action using Federal brass that started as Federal .223 AR Tactical (eeewww)

Flash hole deburred, Primer pocket uniformed, and neck tensioned.

They trim shorter than other brass I have tried. Most I see are around 1.740"
