I was looking at a t4 at stockys and they only have the varmint contour but I have a Rock M40 blank, is that too big for the varmit t4?

Less than 15 minutes with a wooden dowel or socket wrapped in sandpaper and it'll drop in.

If the chamber end is the same length. Some profiles are longer in that greater dimension.
Call the stock maker and ask how much work is involved and where they would direct you for finish inletting.

I went from a varmint / sendero contour to a heavy varmint contour (1.25" for the first 5") with ease on my T4 with only a deep well socket and sandpaper.

How is the inside of the barrel channel finished? What material?
