Just a quick kestral 4500 question.

Just picked up a like new used kestral 4500.

Question: Is the wind speed fan supposed to sound like a kazoo?? It seems accurate from vehicle speeds but a little noise.

Mine is fairly quiet.

Mine does not make a sound. You have to look at it to see if its turning

It's a replaceable part. Mine sounds the same.

Mine has made that kazoo sound since it came out of the box, I wouldn't consider it noisy though.

Lol yeah, picked it up for my buddy so we were playin with it on our lunch break at work. Car window was there.

Bought mine used, it makes a pretty good whine.

If I were a real sniper (not a wannabe sniper), I'd probably not want it to make noise... But for my uses, I prefer it to whine. That way I can audibly "hear" changes in windspeed.
