Its not the same scope PZT. The 2-10x24 is impossible to get now that NF decided on MIL gets allocated them. Its the only scope of quality in its class and personaly, I love them.

Did you ever run any of the NF optics on the SCARs during testing? Did they have the same issue tearing up optics?

No, we didn't run them on the sniper variant of the SCAR when we jumped them as it wasn't part of the evaluation strangely enough. The scope had been tested in previous evals of the Mk12 and was already approved, we were just testing the components that were organic to the SCAR (elcan, eglm, etc) platform. If you are looking for one I can make some calls and see whats out there, I have a buddy who might have a line on them that I need to talk to in a few days.

I've seen ones with the NAV-SPEC and ARMY-SPEC, just don't remember seeing the RECON part. So I figured I'd ask the Hide. Cobra, what collection in DC are you refering to?

its not impossible, just not very easy or common to find.

I have several Army / Navy versions of NF scopes, from the 1MOA Mk 13 version, to the 2-10x24, even an F1 Mil version Velocity reticle with a mil top half. All hard, but not impossible.

Interesting you mentioned the 1moa version, I have some leupold 3.5-10 with m118lr turrets that are 1 moa elevation and .5 Moa wind.
The nightforces are the same.

Nothing is impossible... the fact they don't make them anymore, people who own them do not part with them often, and when they do they sell for a huge premium, and get snatched up almost instantly, is why I said impossible. Maybe a poor choice of wording on my part.

Are you saying there is a F1 2.5-10x24? Or were you talking about Army and Navy speced versions of other NF.

Wow! I wonder if they will be the added to the list with the Kollmorgen, Green Redfield and Unertls for the next generation of "Tribute / Spec" rifle collectors?

Do all the SPEC NightForce scopes have NVD illumination settings?

Only the Compact MIL-SPEC 1-4 and 2.5-10's have NVD compatible illumination settings. The full size MIL-SPEC scopes do not.

The new for 2013 Compact NXS's also have NVD compatible illumination settings.

A commercially available 2-10x24 F1 Mil version Velocity reticle with a mil top half would probably result on a huge number of creamed undies.

Found out the main difference between the RECON NAV-SPEC and RECON ARMY SPEC was the was the NAV had .25 moa adjust and my ARMY has 1 MOA Ele and .5 MOA wind
