I just got a PWS MK218 in 308, but there is a problem PWS say it is not Suppressor Recomended (didn't know that at the time I bought it) The question is what other upper will work on this lower I have a AAC SDN6 can that needs a good home

Re: PWS 218 Rifle

any dpms style upper will work.
si defence is who makes the uppers and lowers for pws

Re: PWS 218 Rifle

Do you mean the PWS MK216? I have one but, Ive never heard of a 218 and I just checked PWS website.

I have an SAS Arbiter and I've put the mount on my rifle and fired it with some carefully worked up, reduced power handloads. Like most 308 gas guns it is overgassed. I've been trying to figure out a way to regulate the gas pressure but PWS sure makes it difficult the way they made their gas block. So, I moved on to looking at the piston/expansion chamber. I think there might be a way to make a modified piston as a drop in replacement that would reduce gas pressure. But I havent done anything else with it. I kinda hate to mess with it. Its such a simple reliable design and anything I do is likely to add complexity and decrease its reliability. Its just too good a design to start messing with. At least thats how I feel right now.

The new models are shipping with the free-floated barrel and adjustable gas block. They should be suppressor ready. I just bought a MK116 that should be here early next week.

I just went to the si defence web site...... my PWS mk214 doesn't look anything like their rifles. They are not even piston guns.
