Matt, I love the 300wm...all hunting rigs tho...was in process of building one for competition till I learned from some veteran competition shooters that wasnt really a good idea for what I was am wanting to do...live and learn.
That being said here is a pic of my latest 300wm Mcmillan edge stock, brown with red recoil pad douglas match grade barrel, #4..1:10 tw with interrupted flutes, bead blasted..(needs cerakote instead) bolt w interrupted flutes..bolt knob the same timney trigger @ 2lbs ptg bottom metal talley rings zeiss conquest 4x14x50 rapid z 800 weight @ 7.5lbs
It was kicking my booty doing load development so I got a clamp on brake only for that purpose as I dont like them when hunting.
I like the 300 as well , so much so that I finished up a second one this year . Shot one without a brake for years before I saw the error of my ways . As you can see the FTE is my brake of choice now . Here is a crappy iPhone pick of the pair .
