I'm not sure if this is the proper place to post this, and if it isn't, let me know. I'll ask a Mod to move the thread.

I'm looking for some recommendations on long range precision classes in the western US (California Washington Oregon Alaska Idaho Utah Nevada or Arizona).

I have (or perhaps had) a good understanding on basic marksmanship. I was in a junior smallbore rifle program from 13 to 18 years of age. Mostly 25 meter stuff (offhand, kneeling, prone), and some 200 yard shooting with rimfires (mini-Palma, English prone, & 1600's). I do not know anything about reading wind. The coach would spot/call wind, and I would adjust and shoot.

I have limited time using a rifle scope, reading the wind, or using rests (bipods, saddles, etc). I have no experience estimating range, calculating range (via reticle ranging systems), or shooting at inclines/declines.

Any recommended schools or classes?

Something else to add: If possible, I'd like to use my Seigal AmeriCorp education award (link: Segal AmeriCorps Education Award | Corporation for National and Community Service). I've worked 2 seasons with AmeriCorp Conservation programs and would like to use the money before it expires. If there's a school who can or would set up a program I'd very much like to attend that school.

Ares Armor in SoCal offers some precision rifle training, taught by marine scout snipers. I've just signed up to take their carbine class, and if it's quality instruction I plan on taking the more expensive long range classes. I'll report back after the carbine course.
