What is the shortest barrel you can fit in a Mcmillan HTG?

Thinking about getting a .300BLK barrel to fit a .223AI I have in the works, just swap 'em out and rezero.

ETA: I'm leaving WA so no need to tell me I can't have an SBR.

No such thing as a McMillan M40. There is an M40A1 ( HTG ) and the M40A3 and M40A5's ( A-4 stock ). On the HTG the length of the forearm would depend on the length of the action. For a short 700 inlet the forearm would be about 11.5" long from the end of the receiver.
