I'd never trust it. Also the price is a good indication as to why carbon fiber is not used for these applications regardless of durability/POI shift.

Well, their stuff is "broken" in my opinion. Purposely designing CFRP structure like that is not a good idea, the material is not conducive to a scope mounting setup for a lot of reasons. I really don't feel like writing pages on what needs to be fixed because then I'm doing free engineering work for that company but I would not spend a dime on that. If it was handed to me for free I wouldn't trust it with my $3000+ optics.
The nice thing about carbon fiber is it actually makes things lighter when you add it...not really

I remember a thread awhile back that discussed CF scope tubes. I thought it was an equally silly idea. Now a CF stock....theres an idea. Too bad fiberglass is too cheap. Still, would be worth trying IMO
Wonder how the screws attach to the CF? I sure hope some metal inserts are embedded in there. I have a carbon fiber suppressor made by a company who supposedly specializes in carbon fiber suppressors. It is now held together with a hose clamp. Threading carbon fiber absolutely does not work and when I see carbon fiber on something like this, it just screams snake oil. Now my 12 oz carbon fiber canoe paddles are another story. Completely different uses though.
The guy in the video does seem to be sincere about developing a different way to skin the cat. The 100, 50, and 25 yard ranges and AR platform in the video leave a few open questions.

Looks intriguing but wouldn't the screws on that thing strip the rings? Plus, that thing doesn't even come with a base. I'd have to spend even more $$ on top of that to get the freaking base. And wouldn't these things become brittle in cold weather where you'd be afraid to drop your rifle?
I just dropped $300 on some custom titaniums rings from Cameron Murphy. What would this carbon fiber do better? I sure doesn't do it cheaper.

the carbon fiber stocks look bad ass. for some reason i dont really like the look of this whether it would work well or not.

Agreed. Carbon is very tricky to deal with when you are talking about a structure which will have fasteners. Scope mounts are small, involve lots of fasteners, and have to deal with forces applied in a way that I think would make ideal, or even acceptable, fiber directions in the mount difficult to manufacture. As you mentioned, at the end of all that I think you would be lucky to save a single ounce. Scope mounts never seemed to me a logical application of composite technology. Too much potential difficulty for too little potential gain. More power to them if they managed to accomplish it.
Got to be a reason road bike weight weenies love carbon fiber, but still use aluminum/Ti for brakes/skewers/seat post clamps...
I just ordered a set... I also sent my super tactical NcStar scope off to be re-purged with helium to make it lighter. I figured with the super heavy nylon stock that my awesome, super tactical, Remington 710 is in, I should try to save a whole 3 ounces... Next up, I'm going to drill holes in my barrel to make it even lighter!
