cmmg 308?

I have had one about 2 years.
Bought from CDNN when they were blowing them out for like $1200... This is the exact one I have Rifle, Mk3, .308, 16" SS, MC, LPGB, Mod0, 2 ST TG, MOE Lwr BLK.

For the money , I don't think there was a better .308 AR out there. The one you linked with the new rail is sexy as hell.
Just don't expect it to shoot tiny holes. I am getting 1-1.5MOA with 168GR FGMM and Fed 168GR OTM. I haven't handloaded or shot anything else through it, so it may like other shit better.

The rail system is fine, I just don't like round ones.

I will be replacing the barrel with a Bartlien in 6.5C and the Rail with either a SR25 Rail or a DD sometime next year.
I had some issues with the 2 stage trigger, but it seemed to work itself out. Think RRA NM style............no where close to a KAC or G 2 stage.

It's replacing my WIN70 in .308 as my new deer rifle. More fun to shoot them with this.

This is how its setup now:

Now that pws is using the key mod rail it looks like a DI mk216 but with a better trigger since this one comes with a geissele trigger.

I don't own either so I can't even imagine how they compare on accuracy and reliability

I bought one of the $1400 Mk3's from CDNN a couple years ago. It was the one that came with the Magpul PRS, 18" fluted WASP (nitride) barrel, and a 2-stage trigger. It was an extremely accurate gun, but had a number of problems that required it to be sent back to CMMG. It broke three bolt catches (maybe it was four, don't remember if the last one broke), the ledge for the charging handle latch on the upper wore down to the point the handle wouldn't stay latched (replaced under warranty), and they replaced the firing pin because the Geissele SD-E I installed had mushroomed the hell out of it (they said it was the trigger's fault, not me). The gun was also way overgassed so I installed a JP adjustable gas block. With the new gas block the gun was shooting smooth, soft, and accurately, but I had absolutely no confidence I wouldn't be replacing more parts or dealing with other issues in another 200 rounds so I ended up selling the gun and buying a POF instead.

Their tech support was great - I didn't pay for any of the fixes and they covered shipping both ways on all of it. I think they were having some issues with their early runs of 308 rifles and can't say if they have their issues worked out or not. I am not trying to bash the company or say they make a crappy product because everytime I spoke with them on the phone they were extremely helpful and willing to do what it took to take care of me. Unfortunately the rifle I had just had too many issues for me to feel good about keeping it.

I wouldn't be afraid to buy anything from cmmg- but I also agree with cobracutter sub moa accuracy from this setup is possible but not something you can count on.
