I'm currently looking at purchasing a rifle in 6.5 creedmoor, but can't seem to find any 6.5 creedmoor ammo available anywhere. I have called a few local shops, as well as looked at some retailers online and no one seems to have any in stock.

Anyone know where I can find some? Its a bit pointless to buy a rifle that you can't find ammo for...

There was a forum sponsor selling loaded ammo here the other day. I would comb thru the for sale section to see if you can locate them.

Thanks for the quick replies! Looks like mile high has a bunch.

Keep a eye at Midway and Creedmoor sports they tend to get there deliveries on a regular basis.

Thanks for all the replies! Ended up ordering some from mile high shooting.

Hornady has been behind, but over the past month they have been focused on turning out 6.5 Creedmoor ammo. They started with the ammo with lighter bullets, then moved up to the 140gr AMAX. That is why Mile High has that now, but I'd be surprised if it doesn't become more readily available. However, there seems to be a lot of new 6.5 Creedmoors made over the past year ... so I'd buy it when you find it. Don't assume it will be there 3 months from now.

I thought the whole point of 6.5 was the cheaper factory ammo. If you reload wouldn't .260 or 6.0 Creed make much more sense?

I know this is a thread about a 6.5 but can someone explain to me how to start my own post

With a name like that......you should be able to figure it out............What color is the boat house at Coronado? ;) JK

Are you looking to reload or just buy some loaded ammo?

If you're asking me, looking to buy reloaded ammo.

Don't have any reloading equipment at the moment, but I would definitely like to get into it in the future.
