Finally caught up with you. I'm looking for a couple of 1903 checkered 21 lip buttplates in 90% or so condition for a pair of prewar rifles I bought recently. I have a few other guns I'm trying to restore also, and am always looking for original parts. What do you need for the one you mentioned in our conversations?
My cousin and I shoot the Vintage matches locally here in the Northeast and at Perry with a Krag, the 1903 and the Garand. Maybe I've rubbed shoulders with you on the Vaille range?
Please let me know what you have and what you need for them. I need original, unrefinished parts in excellent but not necessarily mint condition. You obviously know '03s and I'll trust your description.
