Decide to try my hand at installing a oversized bolt knob on my mossberg MVP. This was done with a bench grinder and a table top belt sander, a little dremeling and some hand filing. took about 3 hours total including smoke breaks. The knob is a Brownell's tactical knob. I very happy with the size and shape. I have a little touchup to do to the handle and epoxy the knob on. I will tell you that mossberg's bolt handle metal is very hard, had a real hard time get the thread die to even start on the shalf. Very pleased with the results, knob feels awesome compared to the factory one.

sorry I didn't take step by step pics. I basicly followed what others on here did.

Looks good, how does that rifle shoot a friend is thinking of getting one.

even though it's threaded most either use locktite or epoxy so it can't come unscrewed.

the rifle itself shoots great very accurate with handloads. many have had real good luck with the factory hornady 55grn v-max loaded ammo.
