Howdy,

I just relocated up to Seatle Washington from Arizona for a temp job (1 year). I was wondering if anyone in this area knows of a place that carries reloading equipment and supplies. I tried Sportsman's Warehouse in Federal Way but they werent very well stocked unfortunately. I'm in the Kent/Tukwila area but I travel all over the western part of the state.

Thanks ! ! !

There's a Cabelas in Lacey, between Olympia and Joint Base Lewis McCord.
There's also Shooters Supply in Gig Harbor. Shooting Supplies & Shooter Supplies | Russ Haydons Shooters Supply
Welcher's Gun Shop in Tacoma gets powder and supplies on occasion.
There are a ton of gun shops in your area...most of them are decent but not really what Id consider a reloaders shop...the ones above have treated me well...not easy to say for a Cabelas....

Action Sports in Lynnwood has quite a bit of reloading supplies for a gun store.

Thanks for the heads up guys. I'll be up in Lynwood later this week and also going trough Gig Harbor on my way toport Angeles so I'll check those places out.

Thanks Again ! ! !

Drive up to Burlington and check out Kesselring's Gun Shop. I bought my first press from them about 1973. They are still going strong.

Kesselrings is worth the drive. Good prices and usually a good stock of what you're looking for.

I don't recall the name, but there is a place in Cle Elm that is hands down the best place I have ever been in. It's the only place I could find a Co-Ax in stock at the time. Probably pretty far out of your way, but if you ever find yourself out on I-90 it's worth stopping in to check them out.

There is a place called The Marksman in Tacoma. Take the Canyon Road exit off of HWY 167 like you're headed to Tacoma Sportsman's Club, its in a small outlet on the left side of the road off of the highway. They have always had a good selection of brass, bullets, presses, and have always had at least one 1lb can of powders I have been looking for.

Kesselrings is always a win. A few years ago I purchased my first tumbler there. The second I got home and plugged it in, i realized that the motor was dead. Called them, brought it back, and they did not have the same model in, they gave me the next model up, straight across, no extra charge, no questions asked.

+1 for customer service

Good source for cast bullets too, and casting supplies, if you're into that sorta thing. They used to cast their own, under the brand-name "Lance Bullets." Don't know if they still do anymore. It's a tiny place, but the parking lot is ALWAYS packed.

Kesselring's is by far my favorite gun/relaoding store in the state. Great folks. Also, the name of the place in Cle Elum is Three Forks...

Thanks for the posts ! ! I went to Action Sports and that's a great place. Staff is really friendly and prices are fair. Been so busy I havent had a chance to get down to Tacoma or up to Burlington yet but I plan to here in the next 2 weeks.

Thanks Again ! ! !

Kesselring's has a decent amount of stuff, but is really low on powder right now. I was in earlier today and they had some primers as well as projectiles and basic reloading equipment. Unfortunately they are dropping all gun sales starting Oct 1; all current firearms in stock are 10% off. Following Oct 1 they will only sell Ammo and Reloading Equipment. One of the brothers is planning on breaking off and opening a new "tactical" gun shop in Burlington (near the Harley Davidson dealership) complete with indoor shooting range. For a gun shop that has been around since 1947 this has come as a shock to the local community, but in talking to a friend who works there it sounds like their hands are tied.

Any more detail you can share on why they made this decision?

Had to do with the ATF. They posted on facebook about having to surrender their FFL to the ATF on Oct 1st.

Another ok place on the way to port angelas is Sportsmens Warehouse in Silverdale. Dont always have the best stock but they do get powders and primers in from time to time. Bullet selection is...hit and miss for popular stuff (223, pistol sizes, 308). Ask the gun counter guys for what is in stock powder and primer wise

You may want to try Pinto's in Renton. Sportsman's Warehouse has a few locations and sells reloading supplies too.

In a nutshell there has been some sloppy paperwork done over the past several years. They have been trying to deal with the ATF for some time now and after talking to a lawyer they were told they would lose their case. The decision was made to forfeit/surrender their FFL rather than have it taken away.

russ Haydon in gig harbor is selling his business and has very little supply left on his shelves as of friday afternoon, too bad, it was 10 minutes from my house.

I was afraid it might be something like that. The end of an era...

These are some good ideas, just not sure how "near" Seattle some of them are.
