I am completing a SDM AR and would like some recommendations for sights and/or optics.

I have shot most of the common set ups but would like to hear from someone who can give their opinion why one set up is better than another. So lets hear some set ups!

The AR is a flat top receiver
Troy 15" free float tube with a rail on top full length
20" White Oak Squad Designated Marksman Barrel (fluted and then turned the last 6 inches to remove even more weight
MagPul STR stock

The AR has come in light and easy to handle for a 20". First time at the range it proved it will be a tack driver.

Magnified optics with a offset one o'clock set of iron sights or Trijicon RMR

An EoTech with 3x magnifier?

ACOG?

What set up would you take to the field to take advantage of the accuracy and extended range.

It depends on what you are using it for. Hunting id go with a vortex 2.5-10, 3gun 1-4 pst, everything close under 50 meters rmr. What your going to use depends on the primary purpose of the rifle. I have a 1-4 on my 18 barnes precision shooting a .196 moa group at 100 meters. Id like to have a 1-6 pst but im a fan boy of vortex and wont go with another company lol but thats my choice.

I'm a big fan of the 1-4 or 6 range scopes over the ACOG. An Eotech or Aimpoint with a side flip magnifier is good but too much going on for me. I've got a Pride and Fowler CQLR on my Larue and I love it.

You're setting it up with a red dot for a secondary optic, so get a higher power primary optic and actually use that 20" barrel. Something in the 9x to 14x top end variable would be what I would get. Look at the Bushnell Elite Tactical, Vortex PST, Leupold VX-R Patrol line of scopes or the new stuff from Weaver.

Temp9 and Fried Chicken Blowout.... I'm leaning towards your all park in taking advantage of that 20" tack driver! Using a higher optic power and a off set red dot.

There are some great 3gun scopes out there that give you the option of 1x shooting eyes open and still have 6-8 power at the top end. The new razor is a great scope with 6 power seems plenty to me.

Beautiful. It has a sniper reticle, full 2" of eye relief, and the ability to mount another scope on top if needed.

If its an SDM rifle for mil/le then I would go uso 1-6 if you want a single optic, maybe a razor and offset RDS if you want to do two optics.
