AICS and Jewell Trigger

Has anyone here done an inlet job for a Rem. 700 action with a Jewell trigger in an AICS chassis?
And if so, what was involved?

Never done one personally...But there is a thread here somewhere describing what was required...I'll post it if I can track it down.

Basically take a dremel tool and inlet for the trigger housing, pins and (if necessary) the shoe. Doubt it will be required for the Jewell shoe.

You'll find the same inletting requirements with using a Timney trigger in the AICS chassis.

If its a new version it may not be necessary. I just recently put in a Timney trigger and it required no modification where my older version did. I would imagine it would be the same for a Jewel trigger.

I e-mailed AICS and they responded that it would require inletting.

Was just hopping on here to ask the same question. Mine is the AX chassis if that matters. Seems to me like it needs some relief in front of the trigger (muzzle end), but I don't want to mess with anything until I know for sure.

Not too difficult. Just a dremel, patience, and time.

This one was done on a mill, but I did mine with a dremel.

I did mine with a drill, a dremel but mostly a flat file.
It takes a little time but had no milling machine.

I have a cross feed milling table for my drill press. Chucked up an end mill and got'r done in about 10 minutes.

Should have taken it to the buddy's machine shop, but as too easy with a file and dremmel.

Mine never needed an inlet, its worked great so far.
