Just got this in two days ago and before I put it on a breaked magnum rifle I'd like to know that they will take the concussion from the break. Only reason I'm posting this is I had a Vortex PST that broke 4 times due to the concussive forces by the muzzle break. Guess it kinda got me " break shy".

Well Here is my experience. Today I mounted my new Bushnell XRS on a 300 Win mag. I was assisted by several of the precision team shooters and a well decorated military operator who has been shooting long range matches as well. I followed all the directions. Mounted with Nightforce rings. After mounting we were not able to get the elevation turret to turn more than 9 mils. It seemed as though the zero stop had engaged. We went back and did the reset. We then able to get the full range of elevation. Shot it 3x and the turret lock up again. Long story short. 5 experienced shooters and 3 hours of adjusting and shooting and we got the turrets to work. I am now afraid to set the zero stop and risk getting back to the mess we started with. The glass is awesome. The G2 works great for me. I must say I am disappointed with the 3 hours of time it took to get it to work. I am going to have a 24 hour cool off period before I decide on whether to return it. This is just my experience today. Many people have had better results. Good Luck.

I shot many many matches with my HDMR, and shot a few matches with my ERS. My HDMR had tons of abuse and was nothing but a boss.

I put mine on a 6.5 creedmor. Haven't shot it yet. But I bore sighted it and had 20 mils left with mark iv hi rings on a 20 moa rail. Sounds like you got a flunked up scope. For the $ I'd send it back

Aimsmall I believe you are right. I am going to block off sometime to make the painful service call, then block out sometime to go to fed ex. I will post and let everone know how their service is.
I guess since I cannot practice now for competition I will save on bullets and powder. I guess I should not have sold my Zeiss.

Bushnell has a money back guarantee, I forget the timeframe but I have also heard their waranty is really good.

I have had one of the first G2DMRs from the group buy a while back and haven't had the first problem with it. It's been on an 18" 308 in the woods and shooting steel, haven't been too rough on it but its no safe queen. I know that doesn't compare to being on your braked magnum but earlier in this thread is the first time I've heard of tracking/turret issues.

I have not seen the XRS put to a beating test but I have seen the DMR. The XRS is built like the DMR so I think it would be safe to say they will take a beating and keep going.

We stock all the Bushnell Tactical line so if we can be help with getting you one feel free to let us know we also stock a lot of other scopes.

I have shot them more than anyone and beat the crap out of them, they can take a pounding!!. Trauma, you probably have the erector tube bottomed out, adjusting the zero stop improperly will cause that.

Thank you A10. The scope we have was brand new out of the box. First Shots caused the turret lock. We had not set the zero stop prior to the lock up. We follow instructions in detail to reset. I am no way saying my experience is the norm. I do not not think we improperly adjusted anything. Thank you A10 i appreciate your advice.

Dunno bout the XRS; however, my DMR has been in the humidity, heat, rode on my atv, and a little mishap falling out of my truck, and still has tracked and allowed me to make hits on 45% ipsc at 600.

No fanboism. I like it though. I'm still waiting to see how it does when it gets to that "wet" cold here in Louisiana.

Qualifying products (XRS, DMR, ERS, and other ET scopes qualify) purchased between the beginning of 2012 and the end of 2013 can be returned to Bushnell to exercise the Bullet Proof Money Back Guarantee; Bushnell will refund your full purchase price.

I set and unset the ZS on my XRS several times, following the directions in the owner's manual, and it worked every time.
Not sure why it doesn't work for some people.

Well I tested the XRS on my 6.5 creedmor and then put it in a custom .300 win mag. Shot it out to 920 yards. Tracking is spot on, glass is phenomenal, and it seems to have a little more forgiveness on focus. At least for my eyes which are terrible. Wish it had an illuminated reticle but its no Biggy. I have 3 NightForces (5x22) and this scope is , in my opinion, better at gathering light near dark, which thrills the hell out of me as I hunt long fields during deer season. LOVE THIS SCOPE!

great news! I purchased mine for competitions. I sold my 56mm Zeiss. That was one of my concerns was if I could make the shot on a once in lifetime buck across a soybean field at dark 30. glad to hear you like the light gathering. I wish the G2 was illuminated. The cross hairs do get lost in the wood line late in the evening.
