Anyone have any experience with tacticalnrifles. Net out of florida. I have heard mixed reviews and i am considering a build

Do your research and make a better choice in gunsmith. You will thank yourself later when your GA Precision, Short Action Customs, American Prevision Arms, or whoever you go with rifle shows up.

Tactical rifles.net....upon reading that name it should cause you to run the other way. I would make the comparison if this company sold scopes they would be called Countersniper, but at least Countersniper does have and deliver a product behind their name. I am not sure that Tactical Rifles will ever deliver anything. Do some background research on this outfit. Check with the BBB. Also, posting on here can be very informative.

Do not send this company a dime.

It would be difficult to do worse than tacticle rifles.

Spelled like "testicle" on purpose...

I'm surprised at how wide a net TR has. I had a guy local here in Houston ask me about their builds as he was thinking about getting one. I just sent him here to read and now he's going with a local smith. That he found here.

I had one way back, and sold it. Nothing that impressive about it for the prices they charge. One of the reasons they are so popular is they've had write ups in firearm magazines. If you're someone who's looking for info, and you run across one of these write ups in your favorite gun magazine, that's all you need, because we know that everything put on paper is true. Right???

That's how I ended up deciding on them for my first custom build. Taught me a big lesson. Now when I get ready to buy something/anything, I ask people that actually have and use it first. Never buy based on info provided by someone who's paid BIG BUCKS to put positive info on paper by the company wanting to sell that item. Magazines don't write articles to help the consumers.

To the OP I would say, listen to these guys giving you advise on staying away from them. There way better company's to order your precision rifle from with good customer support before, during and after your build is complete, which you will not get from Tactical Rifles.

If you are looking for a company in our general geographic area that does really good work and has excellent turn around times, you will want to contact Mark at Accurate Ordinance. They are located just the other side of Atlanta and he is a great guy to talk with. I called him about a build a while back and he gave me a lot of great info. They haven't built anything for me yet but I have had hands on a couple of their guns and they are really nice. Good thing about them is you can save shipping and just drive over to drop off or pick up.

I've never used them. However, google "tacticalrifles.net video" and watch what comes up on youtube. There was a massive, extremely negative thread on here over that video. I believe it ended up with lawyers involved.

You know, this is kinda sad, IMHO. Yes, I've read the thread(s) about TR, and for his sake, I hope they are 100% true. It's been a while now, and it would almost seem as if TR has made NO attempt to try and repair their very tarnished reputation. I've never had one of their rifle, nor have I even handled one, but after all of the reading on here, AND the apparent lack of effort on TR's part, I probably won't either. THAT is what I find sad. Not ONE positive thing to be said about TR since the whole thread thing a couple years ago. Nothing. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Meaning, TR has done nothing to take positive notice of since the above threads were started? That, like I said, is sad to me. :(

I would never use tactical rifles. crap just read do a search there is a lot of info on this company and reasons not to use them, I believe the only reason they have a fan base/ clientele is they market through magazine companies so please do research here on the hide there are a lot better smiths and gun shops that will build your dream rifle for you. Personally, I have a 6.5x47 custom built off a FN SPR action by SAC it shoots bug holes at 200 yards and under 1/2 inch at 300 ,I would recommend short action customs but any of the smiths here on the hide have a great reputation and all build great rifles.
