JP one piece 308 Gas Ring

Just some info for any one interested. JP makes a one piece gas ring for DPMS/KAC style bolts called their Enhanced gas ring. As many probably know the McFarland one piece 308 Gas ring was designed for Armalite bolts but works fine for DPMS/KAC bolts... However it fits a bit loose on the bolt. I ordered one and it definitely is beefer than the McFarland and fits much nicer..... I'm just passing on some info if anyone didn't know they were available.... They are not cheap costing $10 but appear well made and fit properly compared to the McFarland.... I'm very happy with it.

Mine feels real smooth.... No excessive force to hand cycle, feels to me like less force than normal.... I only had 20 rounds on this bolt/carrier prior to changing to the JP gas ring so everything is basically new.. Feels much better than the McFarland I was using.....in my experience JP usually gets stuff right and I think they did here as well... Off JP website:

The new gas rings JP has are actually OD ground to have minimal resistance but still keep all the gases where they need to be. Combined with a really smooth gas ring journal on the inside of the bolt carrier they feel like butter.
