Rifle Scopes G2 reticle wind holds

Long time lurker/first time poster. For my 308, I've narrowed my scope choice down to a Bushy 6-24x50 with G2 reticle ($830ish) or a 3.5-21X50 with H59 reticle ($1500ish). I dig the looks of the G2 reticle, but the tree doesn't seem wide enough for a full value 10+ mph winds at many distances. The H59 looks ideal but would cost me more. Could anyone share their experiences with the G2 reticle and wind holds.

What distances are you referring to?

It's plenty for me; shooting a 20" .308, 168 FGMM, out to 700 which is the furthest I've taken it to so far.... It can get close near the edges of the wind holds, but, in my opinion, if you have that much of a constant wind, and especially 10mph +, why not dial?

vortex viper HS

but its MOA only :(

I appreciate the responses. I also shoot 168 FGMM. Most of my shooting is 500 yds or closer at this point. I guess I could dial my windage if circumstances dictated, it just kind of defeats the purpose of having the reticle. I understand the need to dial for really long shots, but it just seemed weird when I plugged a 10 mph 90 degree wind into Strelok for a range of 400 yds and saw the POA hovering outside the G2 tree.

I've looked hard at the Vortex scopes and really like the EBR-2 reticle's tree, but the Razor is almost $2K. I also dig the Viper with the LR XLR reticle, but MOA is a deal breaker for me. If they would make a PST with the EBR2 or any other tree reticle, it would be a done deal.

I'm leaning towards giving the 6-24 G2 the nod with the Bushnell Bulletproof 1 Year Return as my fall back plan if the relationship doesn't work out.

I'm interested to hear the responses. I have mine on a 6XC and I often end up on the edges of the reticle when I hold for elevation and wind. On a .308, I'd imagine you end up a fair amount off the reticle. Not a big issue for me, because I dial elevation 90% of the time anyways.
