Bulletflight, no question. Dialed in a 1760 yard shot last week with a .308 having never taken it past 1k, and had a first round hit about 5' in front of the target. Obviously, a .308 is not meant for mile shots, but Bulletflight did it's job.

Re: your thought on Ballistic Cal. program, iphone base

I would really like to compare Bulletflight with FTE side by side. I've been running FTE and it works well and I have heard good things about Bulletflight. I like the large FTE library of both bullets and factory loaded ammo.

I have a kestrel 4500 and it works great but I got isnipe just for fun and it's pretty accurate plus they have a huge library of bullets and factory ammo

I haven't used them all, but I have the full Bulletflight M version and have been very pleased with it.

Am newb to the forums and new fangled shooting apps just an old farm boy lookin for some advice on what I'm not setting correctly in the ballistics ae app. Seems useful if I can figure it out. I zeroed my scope at 100yds on a still day. When I enter my setting in HUD and bring it up it shows I should adjust my turrets at 100 yds. Quite a bit. Am lost. Was hoping this app would help this dummie to be able to turn the dial to what I need. Am old school and used to taking first shot and go from there. Idk. Please help.

I'm an android user but i've had great success with Strelok as far as ballistics programs go...and its free (i'm pretty sure the itunes market has it, but it might not be free)

I have Ballistic AE based on other threads. It works well. A manual would be nice to figure out all the features and how to make them work. :)

Ballistic AE or BulletFlight will be great. Both are awesome. Make sure you have a range card printed off though. When hunting, sometimes my fingers are too cold to activate the touchscreen, lol

I use Ballistic and Shooter.

Odd though, when I was playing with my M1903a4 & Garand. I ran them through the Coronagraph, plug the bullets listed from the program for what I was using, and both were 2.5 Minutes off at 600 yards.

Then last night I found my corrected data for that load matched exactly what Hatcher listed in his "Book of the Garand" and Cossman's "Book of the Springfield".

Anyway, reagardless of what program you use, you still have to check it on the range, on the distance you plan on shooting.

And, regarding the Garand. I zeroed that rifle and set up the marks on the elevation dial. Did that when I first got the rifle. The dial on the Garand seemed to be more accurate then the two above programs, and I 'm aware of garbage in garbage out. I did double and triple check the numbers. I ran the numbers on Berger's ballistic program, it matched the Garand's sights and Hatcher & Crossman.

I've been using Ballistic AE for several years now, and it is a very helpful app!

I have been using Shooter but distances under 600 yards. I would love to stretch it out and see how it performs.
