So, I got this scope from a friend of mine. Its a viper PST 6-24 SFP. My first "real" scope. I've been to the range a few times with it. I thought something was up because the reticle seemed to be rotating. 1st time I took it home and checked things, everything was tight but I reset it. Seemed it was ok. Well today, it started shifting bad. A good 10 to 15 degrees or so. I'm sure Vortex will take care of me, but man, I'm a little let down. Only owned it for like a month and went to the range like 3 times. Guess it goes back in the box and back to Vortex. Maybe I can get the reticle changed out for a FFP?

It happens sometimes...even on optics costing VASTLY more money. While I know it is a PITA, Vortex CS is second to none. They'll get you sorted out and squared away in terms of a repair or replacement of your optic (and if its a complete replacement that you are due, you may inquire about the "upgrade" to a FFP model if you want and I'm sure they'll be glad to talk to you about the cost involved).

Not likely, the guts of an FFP scope are quite a bit different than SFP (also why it is more expensive).

Vortex will take care of you though.

Should've made that clearer in my post above, but that's what I meant when I said "'upgrade' to a FFP model" as you'll have to have a new model scope...not an "upgrade" to your SFP model.

ORD, fyi, I wasn't trying to correct you or anything, your post wasn't visible yet when I wrote my reply.
