Anyone find the S&B 5-25x to long for SRS Covert? I am the market still and I keep bouncing back between the 5-25x and the 5-20x ultrashort coming out. Yea the Ultrashort would look really nice on the SRS Covert but I'll be missing out on 5x. The place where I plan to take classes at recommended 5-25x. I also got some advice from TRex from youtube.

"Honestly, either one will rock your world. The 56mm objective will give you a bit bigger of an exit pupil diameter which makes the image seem more full, but 50mm aint bad at all. Any S&B PMII tactical scope is a win. :) Go with your own preference - just make sure to get a MIL/MIL or a MOA/MOA configuration.

Peace

What a nice guy! Anyways what do you all think? I don't want to be that guy who shows up short 5x and wish he had it. I don't think I'll need it but it would be nice to have the ability spot for others. Every other week I'm on the 5-25x or the 5-20x ultrashort. Wouldn't mind seeing pictures if you got them. Thanks!

The objective is to buy one glass and never have to buy a new one again. Oh one more thing after reviewing the specs the 5-25x is 41cm vs 5-20x ultrashort 29.9cm..... Jerry feel free to chime in if I'm wrong on the specs.

I'd go with the 5-25, light transmission and eye relief will be better. As far as the 20x vs the 25x, its not a game changer, 25" is nice when you are ranging targets or spotting for another shooter, but I for one never have my 5-25 above 15-20x, with exception extreme long distance targets.

Nope, the 5-25x fits just fine with my covert handguard installed. With the 4" sunshade ARD it hangs slightly over the edge of the handguard, flush with the .308 brake on a 16" barrel. I've had it for years, no problems.

Well I just got off the phone with Eurooptic...... The sales guy just talked me into a buying my optic today.

I am now a proud owner of a S&B 5-25x56 with no rifle...... Wow that call got ugly really fast.

No regrets right?
Couterclockwise is the norm?
