karsten cheek rest

Re: karsten cheek rest

Not trying to be a smart ass, but call Karsten. He will take care of you. When I ordered mine it was shipped via USPS Priority mail and I had it in 3 days.

It is that easy to have one in you hands!

I sent him an email a while back and got no response.
Do you mind passing along his telephone number?

Re: karsten cheek rest

I personally like the Defensive Edge adj cheek piece better.
It is lighter, and does not have those big protruding knobs on it like the Karsten piece.

Tactical Works is new to me. Never heard of them before I was looking for a Karsten. I placed an order yesterday and just got an email saying it had shipped today. Also, got another email with tips on how to install it.
I do like great CS

They have a second model that eliminates those knobs and replaces with allen bolts/adjustments. B Model I think.

Seems like you would have a hard time making fine adjustments quickly with the allen screws.

True. But I assumed that once your got it adjusted, why would you change it?

Re: karsten cheek rest

Have a Karsten on my M1A SDM rifle. A great product from a guy that supports our troops, and all shooters. CKruse

In order to pull the bolt I have to lower mine.

Maybe it is a flaw in my prone positioning but I have to adjust the height when I hit the dirt.

dstewart51:

I have the same rifle. Are you saying that to each time that you load your gun, you have to lower the cheek rest? Or just when you remove the bolt?

Capt. Art

I've gotta lower mine to remove the bolt too. But I painted it and it's easy to put it right back in the same spot. It makes a HUGE difference in comfort and relaxation while shooting. It's one of those products that are so simple, yet work so well that you wish you invented it. Like the Crampbuster for motorcycle throttles or the chuckit for throwing tennis balls for your dog :D
