So my bolt release gets hung up sometimes and I have take the bottom metal and used a file to smooth it out but seems to hang up still some times. I search real quick and found a company SAC that does them. I was wondering if anyone has done this? Is it worth it? Recommendations for places to go, and finally are you happy with the results. Thanks

Best regards,
Oscar

I had mine done by Kampfeld Custom. They did a great job. Just be sure that the bolt stop on the trigger is taken off

Make sure that your bolt release ear is going right into the little pocket on the bolt stop. Ive seen the ear contact to the front side of the pocket and cause the bolt stop to hang up.

IMO the side bolt release is one of the best mods to get. Ive always found it a pain in the butt to fumble around sticking my finger up into the trigger guard to use the factory bolt release. A side bolt release looks good and I feel functions better than factory.

Phoenix Custom Rifles does this mod as well I saw some pics on a different thread looked nice talk to Keith over there

Thanks for the advice guys. I am going to make some calls and if I get it done I will post some pictures. Thanks again.
Best Regards,
Oscar

I had it done to 2 of my rifles by GAP after having a rifle built on a Defiance action that came with the side bolt release. I won't have another Remington without it.
